It has excellent access to transportation, communication services, natural amenity as well as a skilled, and motivated workforce. Gosford services the areas extending north to Warnervale, Wyong and Tuggerah in the north; east to coastal centres at The Entrance, Terrigal and Avoca, Woy Woy, Ettalong and Umina; and south and west to Somersby and the national parks. This significant area covers approximately 1,800 square kilometres.
The Regional City is reinforced by a number of town centres such as Toukley, The Entrance, Bateau Bay, Erina, Woy Woy and the new Warnervale Town Centre.
Gosford Regional City and Tuggerah-Wyong are the region’s commercial hubs. In 2006, they accounted for over 23,500 jobs and these centres are expected to accommodate a significant share of the region’s office-based jobs in 2031.
